Ask for a company, a UDI-DI, an SRN, a catalogue reference or an EMDN code. We query the official European Commission database live.
What can and cannot be searched
You can search both companies and devices by typing just part of the name, and the query covers every country at once. You can also search without typing anything: in the advanced search, an EMDN type, a risk class or a legislation (MDR, IVDR, Annex XVI or the former directives) is enough to list the filtered catalogue, and typing "annex XVI" in the box requests the whole category of products without a medical purpose. Worth knowing: a non-EU manufacturer appears under its own country, so Abbott Vascular is listed in the United States, not Ireland. For devices, name search reaches about 88% of records — the share that declares a trade name; the rest can be found by UDI-DI, catalogue reference, via the filters, or through their manufacturer. What EUDAMED does not publish: each product's specific classification rule (rule 11, rule 8…) is not part of the public data.
About this data
Results come live from EUDAMED: the European Commission public search for companies and devices, and the official DG SANTE Data Lake API (v1.0) for identifiers and labels. Recent answers are served from a short-lived cache (under one hour) to speed up repeated queries; the "live" switch in the advanced search bypasses it. MeDev Consulting neither alters nor certifies their content: EUDAMED remains the sole authoritative source. Details of the person responsible for regulatory compliance (PRRC) are shown as published in EUDAMED.
